Now I had the chance to test the latest Crossover office 8.0 and Playchess. Unfortunately, the result is that the program runs, but is not usable.
Much has happened though, since 2006. A new place to play chess has appeared. At www.chesscube.com you can play directly through your browser, and it's free ! Often there are over 2000 players connected at the same time, and the graphical interface is beatiful.
